Why Are We Bothering to Prosecute these Guys?

A grand jury in Philadelphia recently indicted four men for a plot to support the terrorist group Hezbollah by purchasing 1,200 Colt M4 assault rifles and a number of Stinger missiles and smuggle them into Lebanon through Syria.

This sort of thing is barely news anymore. U.S. weakness emboldens terrorists. We, as a nation, chose of our own free will to elect a government filled with terrorist sympathizers.  As we have sown, surely we shall also reap.  This is the change “we” voted for.

My question is this: Why are we bothering to prosecute these guys?

Jimmy Carter, Obama’s “intellectual” forebear, has publicly met with Hezbollah leaders like Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah and has decried Hezbollah’s lack of anti-aircraft missiles. Are we prosecuting him for providing aid and comfort to the enemy?

If we refuse to prosecute Carter, I do not see how we can morally justify prosecuting these four men from Philadelphia.  These men are merely implementing Carter’s wishes, and the wishes of many Jew haters in Washington D.C.

Israel is the brightest example of a functioning democracy in the Middle East and any decent American administration would support it wholeheartedly.  The American left cannot bring itself to do this and instead they support terrorists and dictators with propaganda, money, and arms.  I cannot imagine any behavior more un-American.
