Muslims Disrupt Free Speech in Sweden

Militant Muslims disrupted a lecture on free speech at Uppsala University in Stockholm earlier this month. The police were aware this might happen and were on hand to stop the violence before anyone was seriously hurt.

Lars Vilks, the presenter, was assaulted and his eye glasses were smashed on his face, but he was otherwise uninjured.

Approximately fifteen Muslims took part in the attack, but the police detained only three. Two were held for suspicion of violence against police while another was detained briefly for disturbing public order.

When the university spokesperson announced that the lecture was forced to be stopped, the co-conspirators cheered and chanted in Arabic.

Lars Vilks has faced Muslim intimidation before. He has received numerous death threats and al-Qaeda has offered a $100,000 reward to any person who murders him. American police have charged one woman, Colleen LaRose, for participating in a conspiracy to murder Vilks and collect that reward. Regarding the murder of Mr. Vilks, Ms. Rose wrote “I will make this my goal till I achieve it or die trying.”
