Right Wings of the Black Community

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 | Posted in Cool Web Sites | No Comments »

I was watching a great video on YouTube and at the end of the video the editor displayed some great web pages for black Americans — and all Americans — to visit.

The editor titled his list “Right Wings of the Black Community.”

Here are the URL’s from his list:

There are two more I’d like to add to the list:

It’s not a black thing, it’s not a white thing, it’s a not being an ignorant fool thing. Check out all of these web sites!

The Skeptic’s Annotated Qua’ran

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 | Posted in Cool Web Sites | No Comments »

I was looking for a Sura I remembered and Google introduced me to The Skeptic’s Annotated Qua’ran.

The site displays each sura of the Qua’ran, along with analytical study notes giving a plain-English analysis of important verses.

Verses are also marked with a useful legend highlighting specific attributes:

Injustice
Intolerance
Cruelty and Violence
Absurdities
Good Stuff
Women
Contradictions
Sex
Interpretations
Science and History
Family Values
Language
Homosexuality

For example, Sura 9:29:

9:29 Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

Fight against Christians and Jews “until they pay the tribute (the Dhimmi) readily, being brought low.”

This web site also features The Skeptic’s Annotated Bible and The Skeptic’s Annotated Book of Mormon, so be ready for some equal-opportunity analysis.

I strongly encourage every American to read the Qua’ran.  Only by reading this book can we truly understand why modern day Muslims are murdering innocents across the globe.

Warriors - In Their Own Words

Saturday, April 5th, 2008 | Posted in Cool Web Sites | No Comments »

Warriors - In Their Own Words is a stunning video tribute to America’s warriors.

The mission of the film is to honor America’s warriors and to raise funding to aid wounded service members, their families, and the families of the fatally wounded.

Watch the video and honor those who fight to keep America — and the world around her — free.

Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 | Posted in Cool Web Sites | No Comments »

Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, a special publication from The Epoch Times, offers an insightful glimpse into the usually secret world of Chinese politics.

The site publishes a running total of Chinese citizens who have submitted statements withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party or its affiliated organizations. At the time of this writing, the number is 34,721,840. That’s is a fairly impressive number considering the penalties for opposing the totalitarian Chinese regime can include imprisonment and death.

Wu Yalin, a Chinese activist for freedom, has already been sentenced to three years hard labor for spreading the Nine Commentaries.

Under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, 60 to 80 million innocent Chinese people have been killed. It appears that at least some of the citizens of China are ready for a change.

Effective Federal Tax Rates

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008 | Posted in Cool Web Sites | No Comments »

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has published an interesting document titled Historical Effective Federal Tax Rates: 1979 to 2005.

This is a fascinating document, because it breaks down taxes by who pays them. It shows us, for example, that the lowest earning quintile (20%) of taxpayers pay only .8% of all Federal taxes. On the other side, the top earning quintile of all taxpayers pay 68.7% of all federal taxes. The top 1% pay 27.6% of federal taxes.

Send this document to your liberal “friends” next time they complain to you that hard working Americans are not paying enough taxes to support the poor and unfortunae.

Civilian Gun Self Defense Blog

Friday, March 21st, 2008 | Posted in Cool Web Sites | No Comments »

Guns in the hands of civilians save many more innocent lives through deterrence and prevention than are caused by both accidents and crime put together.

Every time an innocent person is either accidentally or maliciously hurt with a firearm, it is covered widely by the mass media. And yet, when an innocent person uses a firearm to protect the lives and their families, the mass media seems to cover it up.

The Civilian Gun Self Defense Blog is a good centralized repository of stories about law-abiding civilians using guns in self-defense. Clayton Cramer and David Burnett do an excellent job of keeping up with the massive volume of positive uses of firearms in civilian hands.

Visit the site. Send the URL to your “liberal” friends. :D

The Peoples Cube

Saturday, January 19th, 2008 | Posted in Cool Web Sites | No Comments »

I heartily endorse The Peoples Cube as one of the most entertaining web sites on the Internet.

“Offended Muslim Syndrome” Symptoms & Self-Help Groups is some of the funniest stuff I’ve read in years.

But really, the whole site is hilarous — even the ads. The quality of the satire is amazingly good and the artwork is phenomenal.

Check it out!
