Carl Levin is a Moron

Senator Carl Levin, current chairman of the Armed Services Committee, is traveling to Iraq to tell the Iraqi’s “Folks, if you want a civil war in this country, that’s your choice. Count us out of your civil war. We’ve been here four-and-a-half years.”

Let’s ignore for a moment that creating foreign policy isn’t Carl Levin’s job and that he is exceeding his authority to an almost criminal level.

Instead, let’s focus on the idiocy of Levin’s position.

Who is behind the “civil war” in Iraq? It is obviously Al Qaeda, which is intentionally destabilizing the Iraq government with the goal of implementing a Sunni caliphate ruled by Sharia law.

Hello! Mr. Levin! Is there anything going on in your head? Don’t you remember Al Qaeda? We’re at war with them? Can’t you remember back as far as 9/11/2001?

If we weren’t fighting Al Qaeda in Iraq, we would be fighting them elsewhere. If we abandon our Iraq allies and allow them to be taken over by Al Qaeda, we will be granting Al Qaeda free access to all of Iraq’s natural resources. Iraq will become one large government-sponsored A Qaeda training camp. We will experience a wave of Islamist terrorism unknown in modern times.

Al Qaeda grew and prospered when the Taliban sponsored their organization with training camp facilities in Afghanistan. If we allow Al Qaeda to take Iraq, we will be giving them access to more training camps, people, arms, and money than they have ever had before.

From the available facts, I can only conclude that Carl Levin is a complete moron. I am disappointed with the people of Michigan for electing this idiot to Congress and allowing him to remain there all of these years.
