These are the idiots who want to take YOUR guns away

You may remember during Hurricane Katrina that the local government illegally confiscated firearms from law-abiding citizens — leaving them completely at the mercy of marauding bands of lawless looters and murderers.

Quoting David Kopel in Reason Magazine:

At the orders of New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, the New Orleans Police, the National Guard, the Oklahoma National Guard, and U.S. Marshals have begun breaking into homes at gunpoint, confiscating their lawfully-owned firearms, and evicting the residents. “No one is allowed to be armed. We’re going to take all the guns,” says P. Edwin Compass III, the superintendent of police.

If anyone should have their Constitutional right to possess firearms taken away, it should be this idiot — for pointing an M-16 at his friend Police Superintendent Warren Riley.

The people of New Orleans should demand better government.  Mayor Nagin should be removed from office and sent to a remedial gun safety course
