		<description>Hi Will, the SBE Council puts out some valuable rankings, and tracks key legislative developments affecting small businesses and entrepreneurs.  This is just one example.  I refer to to their site regularly.

In my opinion, the best part about this ranking is their explanation of the methodology -- how they arrived at the rankings. It makes one start to think about all those &quot;hidden taxes&quot;, especially.

These days there&#039;s a lot of manipulated public opinion -- PR efforts trying to portray just about anything under the sun as &quot;helping&quot; small businesses, even for stuff that clearly hurts small businesses.  So it&#039;s incredibly valuable to have entities like the SBE Council willing to take positions that are contrary to the prevailing winds....

That said, it doesn&#039;t mean I agree 100% with every position they take.  But I pay attention, listen, and make my own judgments.
