Saudi Arabia Bans the Color Red

The Guardian reports that the religious police in Saudi Arabia have banned both red roses and all gifts which are the color red until after Valentines Day.

It is unimaginable to me that the people of Saudi Araba continue to put up with such stupidity from their government.

Government ruled by a king and a royal family? In this century? Representative government isn’t exactly a new idea. It’s a proven idea and it’s the right of every citizen of Saudi Arabia.

It’s far past time for the people of Saudi Arabia to stand up and say “We’re fed up and we’re not going to take it anymore!”
